Kaizer Chiefs fans vow to boycott games until Komphela is fired

Kaizer Chiefs fans are threatening to boycott all Kaizer Chiefs games if Steve Komphela remains the head coach. Their anger was triggered by their 1-0 loss to Bidvest Wits yesterday.

“Steve Komphela is the worst coach we ever. How do you explain not winning a single major cup in almost three years? We can’t keep going to the stadium when all we do is cry after every game. Bobby Motaung must listen to us and fire this incompetent Dictionary Man,” said angry Joe Mahasha after the game yesterday.

Another fan made it clear that he was suspending his Chiefs membership until Steve Komphela is fired. “This is the last Kaizer Chiefs game I’m attending. My support is suspended effective immediately until Komphela is sacked. I’m tired of supporting nonsense,” said a fan who identified himself as Mdu Mkhize from Durban.

Amakhosi has not won any major competition since Steve Komphela took over almost three years. Kaizer Chiefs boss Bobby Motaung previously urged his team’s fan to remain patient and rally behind the coach.

“You can’t go into the changing rooms, kick butt, hire and fire coaches, because ultimately it doesn’t guarantee you that if you bring in a coach tomorrow, he will win games and win the league,” said Motaung.
