First Capitec lotto jackpot winner bags R22 million

Two players hit the jackpot in lottery games and became multimillionaires, said the national lottery operator Ithuba. Both winners won in the Lotto and Lotto Plus 1 draws on 11 February.

“After seven rollovers, ITHUBA celebrates its first LOTTO jackpot winner from Capitec, who won an impressive R22 260 104.70 from draw number 2307,” said Ithuba.

Meanwhile, the winning ticket in the Lotto Plus 1 draw is worth R2 975 359. It was purchased at a chicken distribution retailer in Soshanguve, Pretoria.

“While we are excited about our latest LOTTO and LOTTO PLUS 1 jackpot winners, and we can’t wait to meet our first Capitec LOTTO jackpot winner, we are even more excited to welcome the next Millionaires to come in the year 2023,” said Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza.
