Pep Guardiola’s Nine-Word Take on Jack Grealish’s Night Out: ‘He’s So Famous’
PEP GUARDIOLA appears to be growing more frustrated with Jack Grealish’s off-field behavior.
The £100million midfielder was seen enjoying himself at the North Biddick Social Club in the North East on Sunday evening.

Reports indicate he generously put at least £500 behind the bar for the local patrons at the club, which boasts to be “Washington’s No 1 entertainment venue.”
Just last month, he was photographed leaving an upscale London restaurant with a mystery blonde, joking: “She’s not with me!”
Guardiola has expressed that he is willing to allow his players to manage their own lives during their time off.
When asked about Grealish’s recent outing close to Sunderland, he curtly responded: “He’s so famous. People follow him. Nothing to comment.”
The Manchester City manager then hinted that while socializing is one aspect, achieving results on the pitch is quite another.
In response to questions concerning his players’ behavior during their free time, he stated: “They know what they have to do.”
“A day off is a day off; there is no training. They have private lives and can do as they like. I won’t oversee their actions in their personal lives.
“I assess what I see on the pitch, during training, and in matches.”

Guardiola’s evaluation of Grealish—who will turn 30 in September—regarding his game choices suggests that he is not entirely satisfied.
City will face Nottingham Forest on Saturday in a match critical for both teams’ hopes of qualifying for the next season’s Champions League.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola apologizes to Jack Grealish with the England international having played just 604 Premier League minutes
Grealish produced a strong performance in a central midfield role the last time the two teams clashed on December 4, contributing to a 3-0 victory for City.
However, when reminded of that performance, a visibly tense Guardiola replied: “That was a long time ago.”
Since that game, Grealish has started just one Premier League match: a 2–1 defeat against Aston Villa, the club he left to join City four years ago.
Pep previously apologized to the Treble winner for his limited playing time, attributing it to the impressive performances of Jeremy Doku and Savinho.
However, he added: “Savinho is in better shape and everything than Jack, which is why I select Savinho.
“You may see it as unfair. If that’s your viewpoint, that’s understandable. But Jack has to prove every day, week, and month that he deserves to compete with Savinho for that position.”
Sympathy fading
He underscored: “I wanted Jack at his best. However, he faced challenges and hasn’t been available to play.
“At times, injuries prevented him from finding the rhythm required to be ready every three days.”
Grealish did start last Saturday’s 3-1 FA Cup fifth-round win against Plymouth, although part of a significantly altered lineup.
Yet, despite Guardiola indicating that he is fit to face Forest following a week off, a starting spot is not guaranteed.
Grealish’s downturn this season—with just two goals in 26 appearances—leaves him concerned about his inclusion in Thomas Tuchel’s upcoming England squad.
Grealish wants England return
Tuchel’s first squad announcement is set for Thursday as they prepare for World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
Guardiola commented: “I wish the best for everyone, not just Jack.
“Jack played excellently in the last match, and I hope he can maintain that consistency. I recognize the frustrations of all my players.
“It’s a fantastic goal to play in the World Cup with his national team. That’s not a problem for me.
“Ultimately, what happens regarding Jack, along with everyone else, will be reviewed at the end of the season. For now, we are focused on several important objectives.”
In the meantime, Guardiola confirmed that defender Nathan Ake will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing foot surgery and is now racing against time to be fit for this summer’s Club World Cup.
