Champions League Star, 22, Backs Newcastle’s Tino Livramento at Wembley

NEWCASTLE welcomed an unexpected fan at Wembley when a Champions League star arrived to support the team.

Eddie Howe’s side shocked the football community with a 2-1 triumph over Liverpool, the reigning Premier League leaders, clinching their first domestic trophy in 70 years.

Present at Wembley to witness Newcastle’s victory was Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala.

The German international posted a photo of his journey to Wembley alongside Burnley defender CJ Egan-Riley.

Musiala made it clear on Instagram that his visit was mainly to watch one player, Tino Livramento, whom he tagged in a subsequent post.

The two developed a close friendship during their eight years at the Chelsea academy.

Chelsea fans might wonder how things could have differed if the club had managed to keep these talents.

Musiala made the switch from Chelsea to Bayern Munich in 2019 at just 16 years old.

In contrast, Livramento transferred to Southampton in 2021 for £5 million after his discussions with Chelsea over a contract renewal fell through.

Both players were part of the England U21 setup, though Musiala only made two appearances for the U21s in 2020 before advancing to the senior German squad.

Musiala wasn’t the only player from another club supporting Newcastle during the memorable Wembley final.
