STARFIGHTER (8.30 Wolverhampton, nap)
This horse looks set to clinch another win for the father-son team. Mark Loughnane may not often book his talented son Billy these days, but when he does, it’s frequently a winning bet. This experienced runner is familiar with the course and has won twice in his last four starts. Last time, he narrowly missed out, and despite a slight weight increase, he seems ready to deliver a strong performance from a midfield position.
BOIS GUILLBERT (2.30 Wetherby, nb)
This horse seems to be significantly in front of the handicapper after his victory over fences at Newcastle. He faced only three rivals there, but he showcased exceptional dominance, and this increase in distance should unlock even more potential. Lucinda Russell has her horses in excellent condition and excels at transforming these handicappers into winners.
UNDER CURFEW (5.25 Wolverhampton, treble)
With Rossa Ryan back in the saddle, this horse has a strong chance in these weaker all-weather races. He has an impressive strike rate for trainer Tony Carroll, and with a favorable draw, he has previously shown a preference for this tight circuit.
SEA INVASION (5.02 Exeter, Lucky 15)
This transition to a smaller field will be advantageous, along with the drying ground and the reduction in distance.
