IDAC Denies Claims: “No Arrest Warrant Issued for Police Chief General Masemola”

Pretoria – The Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has confirmed that there are no arrest warrants issued for National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola.

On Tuesday, 12 August 2025, IDAC Spokesperson Henry Mamothame addressed recent media inquiries regarding “baseless claims that warrants have been issued for the arrest of General Fannie Masemola and others.”

Mamothame noted that IDAC, a division of the National Prosecuting Authority, is aware of several misleading articles that have surfaced concerning these claims.

“IDAC reiterates its previous statements to the media: These allegations are false; no such warrants exist,” stated Mamothame.
