The 53-year-old experienced stock driver tragically lost his life at a North Carolina short track on Sunday.

Brewer’s vehicle collided head-on with the wall at the quarter-mile track at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
His car eventually came to a full stop near the start-finish line.
Track officials helped in extracting Brewer from the vehicle, and he was taken to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where he was sadly declared dead, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Robbie Brewer who was transported to a local medical facility following an incident on the track,” stated officials from the track on Sunday.
“Robbie was a committed and talented racer, highly regarded by his peers.”
“Our thoughts and condolences are with Robbie’s family and friends during this challenging time.”
The details surrounding the medical emergency remain unclear.
Brewer was competing in the 20-lap Sportsman Series race at Bowman Gray.
This four-division racing event draws in thousands of fans every Saturday night in the spring and summer.
Bowman Gray also hosted this year’s preseason NASCAR Cup Series exhibition event in February.

Brewer’s racing journey began in 1990.
He made over 250 starts in the Sportsman Division.
In 2011, Brewer secured the points championship.
Brad Lewis, a fellow driver at Bowman Gray, shared a strong bond with Brewer.

His racing garage is located near his home.
Lewis spoke fondly of Brewer, stating he “was like a big brother to me, even with our small age difference.”
“He was a remarkable driver,” he added.
“I will honor him not just this season but for as long as racing continues.”
