Man Utd Issues Ultimatum to Antony: Accept Transfer Offer This Week or Face a Stint on the Sidelines as Real Betis Pursues Loan Deal
MANCHESTER UNITED is reportedly giving Antony a deadline as they seek to transfer the Brazilian this summer.
Following a lackluster debut season after his £86 million move from Ajax in 2022, Antony is no longer in the club’s plans at Old Trafford.

His challenges at Manchester led to a loan deal with Real Betis for the latter part of the last season, where he regained his form and became a key player.
Since then, Betis has shown significant interest in resigning the talented winger, although they seem unable to meet United’s asking price for a permanent transfer.
Reports from Spain suggest that Antony is also eager to return to Betis, but the La Liga club has only considered a loan option rather than a permanent deal.
According to Spanish outlet Al Final de la Palmera, Manchester United has issued an ultimatum to Antony to prevent him from delaying a loan until the transfer window closes.
The Red Devils, who favor a permanent transfer, have informed Antony that he must accept one of the available permanent offers before the Premier League resumes this weekend, or risk remaining sidelined until January.
Antony has been linked with multiple clubs this summer, including a possible reunion with Erik ten Hag at Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
Manchester United did not respond to SunSport’s request for comment on these claims.
The situation mirrors that of fellow winger Alejandro Garnacho, who is also looking for an exit.

The 21-year-old has been sidelined by Ruben Amorim as he aims to secure a transfer to Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Garnacho is prepared to remain at Old Trafford if his desired move does not materialize.
‘Bring him back’ – Antony deserves another chance at Man Utd under Ruben Amorim, says club legend
He stated to DAZN: “The message from the player is clear: Chelsea or nothing.”
“Chelsea or I will stay here and not play for the next six or twelve months.”
He further noted that Chelsea has stepped up their pursuit of Garnacho, with personal terms already agreed upon.
Initially, United set a price tag of £70 million for the Argentina international.
However, despite interest from Chelsea and Napoli, no bids have been made, leading the Red Devils to lower their asking price to £50 million.
