Ryk is a highly regarded financial journalist with over 25 years of experience. He is currently the editor of Moneyweb and hosts RSG Geldsake, the leading business radio show in South Africa.
Prior to his role at Moneyweb, which he joined in 2011, he served as the national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
As a notable public speaker and facilitator, Ryk frequently comments on political and economic issues across various local and international media platforms. His expertise lies in financial investigative journalism, and he has received several journalism awards throughout his career.
He holds an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both earned with distinction.
