Pregnant Woman Attempts to Stab Boyfriend Over Suspected Infidelity in Canelands, KZN
A tense altercation escalated in Canelands, KwaZulu-Natal, when a 25-year-old pregnant woman attempted to stab her 32-year-old boyfriend after accusing him of infidelity.
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), officers were alerted to a woman assaulting a man on Old Main Road shortly before noon on Saturday. Upon arrival, law enforcement witnessed the woman wielding a kitchen knife, attempting to harm her partner, who was defending himself.

The officer swiftly disarmed her and intervened to separate the two.

RUSA Officer Halts Knife Attack
The couple confirmed their relationship status. The woman alleged that she confronted her boyfriend at his workplace regarding his supposed cheating, which ignited a heated argument.

During the altercation, she brandished a knife and attempted to stab him. In the scuffle, the boyfriend managed to thwart the attack, though the woman incurred minor facial injuries.
She informed officers that she is seven months pregnant with his child and expressed significant distress over his alleged continuous infidelity.

Despite the violent incident, neither individual opted to take further action. They conveyed to RUSA officials their desire to resolve the issue privately and in a “friendly” manner.
