At 67 years old, Rangnick was seen zooming across the field at Stadion Bilino Polje during the half-time interval.

The coach overtook all the players before getting off the bike just prior to entering the tunnel.

As Rangnick was biking, Bosnia’s coach Sergej Barbarez was spotted strolling and applauding the home supporters.

This unusual occurrence had a significant reason, as Rangnick recently underwent emergency ankle surgery earlier this summer.

His initial surgery went well, but complications arose due to an infection.

Rangnick had to return to the hospital for another operation.

He is now managing the recovery and is focused on minimizing his mobility.

However, he likely had a reason to smile after Austria secured a 2-1 victory in their World Cup qualifier.
