Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels Support Matriculant in Overcoming Financial Challenges

Johannesburg – For countless students, the matric year represents the pinnacle of years filled with hard work, commitment, and aspirations for a brighter future.

For Njabulo Muthanti, a talented and diligent student at Prestige College in Hammanskraal, her final year brought not only academic challenges but also a financial obstacle that threatened to hinder her dreams.

After her mother lost her job, the family faced difficulties in covering the R41 000 registration fee essential for Njabulo to take her Cambridge matric finals—a hurdle that could have jeopardized her education and aspirations for university next year.

In spite of the challenging circumstances at home, Njabulo remained focused on her studies and dedicated to forging a better future for herself and her family.

Recognized as a star student by her teachers for her dedication, integrity, and relentless work ethic, she continued striving toward her goals while her educators, Helé and Liaan Lategan, organized a fundraiser for her.

With the registration deadline of 13 September looming, additional assistance was urgently required.

“As her teachers at Prestige College Hammanskraal, we can personally vouch for her commitment and character,” say Helé and Liaan Lategan.

“She has exhibited remarkable resilience and continues to work diligently toward her goals.

“We believe she deserves the opportunity to prove herself at this critical juncture of her education, and with support, her future can be transformed.”

Upon learning of Njabulo’s inspiring story, Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels stepped in to provide assistance.

The Fund has contributed R50 000, covering the R41 000 necessary for her final exam registration and offering additional support for school-related expenses during this crucial time.

“Education is one of the most powerful tools a young person can possess to change their life,” states Martin Bester, host of Jacaranda FM’s flagship breakfast show ‘Breakfast With Martin Bester’.

“Good Morning Angels is proud to assist a hardworking and committed young woman like Njabulo.

“It would be a tragedy to see her dreams vanish due to financial barriers beyond her control.

“We are glad to help provide the funds she needs to sit for her final matric exams and continue on her path to success.

“Her dedication, resilience, and determination to succeed are truly inspiring, and we are honored to play a role in helping her achieve her dreams.”

Njabulo is scheduled to take her AS examinations at the end of September.

Without this support, she would have been unable to register, losing the chance to obtain her matric qualification and pursue university studies next year.

Njabulo’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges that many students face when financial hurdles threaten to disrupt their education.

With the backing of her teachers, friends, and organizations like Good Morning Angels, she can continue her studies and take a significant step toward a brighter future.
