Croatian Fans Banned from Stadium Watch England Match from Rooftop, Permitting Only Kids to Cheer for Hosts
Supporters of Croatia, banned from attending the match against England, managed to sneak a glimpse of the game from the rooftop of a nearby building.
The England team traveled to Croatia for their Nations League match on Saturday.

The match proceeded without the usual local supporters due to a restriction on attendance for Croatian fans.
This decision followed concerns regarding crowd disturbances during their last game against France in March 2025, leading to limitations on their home fan allowance for the fixture against England.
In their place, an array of approximately 5,500 to 6,000 local children was allowed into the stadium in Rijeka, along with 100 England supporters.
Despite the restrictions, numerous local adults sought ways to enjoy the game, with some fans successfully finding a spot on a nearby rooftop.

Around a dozen local fans were watching from this unusual viewpoint, with one supporter reportedly bringing a camping chair to enjoy the game in comfort.
Unfortunately for them, their clever ploy was thwarted as their team got off to a poor start at home.
Harry Kane needed just eight minutes to score and give the visitors the lead.
Jude Bellingham later doubled England’s advantage after some outstanding play from Anthony Gordon.

Ironically, the youthful audience witnessed their team being schooled on the pitch during the first half.
The Croatian side looked disorganized, just three matches into the regime of their new coach, Slaven Bilic.
They achieved a 2-1 win over Czechia in their group stage opener last month but faced a heavy defeat of 4-1 against Spain shortly after.
