David Leaves Simba Behind, Gears Up for Raja’s Return

Fadlu Davids, the coach from South Africa, has officially announced his exit from Tanzanian club Simba SC.

This move comes after reports suggesting that Davids may be set to return to Raja Casablanca in Morocco, where he previously served as an assistant coach.

Davids’ Journey and Upcoming Goals

Having joined Simba SC at the start of last season, Davids finished without any titles, with the team securing second place in the league, trailing Young Africans, and losing in the CAF Confederation Cup final to Morocco’s RSB Berkane.

Davids is well-acquainted with Raja Casablanca, having been an assistant coach to Jozef Zinnbauer during their league championship season in 2023/24. His expected return to the Moroccan team marks a significant new phase in his coaching career.

A Heartfelt Farewell to Simba Fans

Davids expressed his gratitude and bid farewell through social media. In a touching message, he shared:

“With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to Simba SC. From my very first days here, I was welcomed by the vibrant energy of this amazing club and the kindness of its extraordinary supporters. Together, we fought, celebrated, and grew stronger through both victories and challenges.

“I am deeply thankful to President Mo Dewji for his inspiring leadership, vision, and steadfast support.

“To the players: keep pushing, believing, and don the badge with pride.

“To the staff and management: your belief and tireless commitment behind the scenes have been invaluable.

“To the Simba supporters: you are the heart of this club. Your voices, your anthems, and your unwavering passion will forever echo in my heart. Thank you for making my family feel at home.

“Simba will always have a special place in my heart, and I wish the club an abundance of success, prosperity, and many trophies ahead.”
