Fifty-one-year-old Sindana, whose viral video depicts him dancing with stacks of cash balanced on his bald head, surrendered to the police at the Kwaggafontein Police Station earlier today, Friday, 15 May 2026.
The four individuals are accused of extorting over a million rand in “protection fees” from a businessman over an extended period.
During their previous court hearing, defence attorney Advocate Shaun Abrams SC expressed concerns about the “unpleasant” treatment his client, Sibanyoni, received from the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) and the police investigation team.
Abrams previously served as the National Director of Public Prosecution.
Police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo stated: “It is alleged that the suspects demanded money from a businessman over an extended period until he reported the issue at the Kwaggafontein Police Station.”
Colonel Masondo confirmed that the case has been adjourned until Monday, 18 May 2026.
All accused individuals have been remanded in custody.
