Police Arrest MP Fadiel Adams

Pretoria – Authorities have apprehended the leader of the National Coloured Congress, MP Fadiel Adams, in relation to allegations of fraud and attempting to obstruct justice.

This case involves serious claims regarding his interference in the active investigation of the 2017 murder of former African National Congress Youth League Leader, Sindiso Magaqa.

The arrest of the MP took place on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, outside the Parliamentary Village in Cape Town.

Witnesses reported seeing police officers escorting MP Adams to a waiting vehicle. He was secured inside the van before being transported to a police station.
