Prosus Offloads 5% Stake in Delivery Hero to Hong Kong’s Aspex
Prosus NV is divesting a 5% stake in Delivery Hero SE to Aspex Management, as stated in an email on Monday.
The transaction will occur at a 22% premium over Delivery Hero’s 30-day volume weighted average price and follows a previous sale of 4.5% of its share to Uber Technologies. The deal with Aspex is expected to yield Prosus approximately €335 million ($395 million), according to the Amsterdam-based company.
Prosus will sell shares at €22 each, which is 10% above the €20 per share received from Uber and 10.1% higher than Delivery Hero’s closing price on Friday, according to Bloomberg’s data.

This deal aligns with commitments Prosus made to the European Commission in August of the previous year to reduce most of its 27% stake in Delivery Hero to secure approval for its acquisition of Just Eat Takeaway.com.
The transaction escalates pressure on Delivery Hero’s founder and CEO Niklas Östberg, as Aspex has lobbied for his removal should management fail to proceed with promised asset sales.
