Daniel Farke’s side showed resilience, coming from behind twice to secure a point against Bournemouth, with James Hill’s own goal counteracting Junior Kroupi’s opening strike, and Longstaff equalizing after Rayan’s late goal seemed to seal a win for Bournemouth.

As Leeds heads to Wembley, they’ve effectively moved ahead of Tottenham, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest in the relegation struggle.

During the match, they appeared to keep an eye on Sunday’s encounter with a Chelsea side in turmoil following Liam Rosenior’s dismissal shortly before kick-off.

Despite a shaky start, Bournemouth took the lead once more with Junior Kroupi scoring, but Leeds quickly responded through substitute Willy Gnonto. Rayan then put Bournemouth ahead again in the 86th minute.

The Vitality Stadium erupted when Evanilson thought he had scored a third for Bournemouth, only for VAR to overturn it due to offside, allowing Longstaff to find the net in the dying seconds.

Andoni Iraola’s unbeaten run of 14 matches leaves a challenging legacy for incoming manager Marco Rose, as Bournemouth climbs to seventh place.

Bournemouth dominated the first half, coming close to scoring if not for a remarkable save by Karl Darlow on Ryan Christie’s attempt.

Leeds seemed to have one eye on their upcoming match at Wembley during the first 45 minutes.

However, Iraola’s team ramped up their intensity and finally penetrated the Leeds defense.

Marcos Sensi, who will also be leaving this summer, intercepted the ball in midfield before delivering a brilliant pass to Kroupi, who outpaced Joe Rodon to chip Darlow, marking his 11th goal this season.

Leeds nearly equalized shortly after when Noah Okafor struck the post.

Bournemouth managed to keep their composure but allowed Leeds back into the match due to a failure to clear a scramble in the box about ten minutes later.

After the ball bounced around the six-yard area, it landed with substitute Gnonto, who fired low at Hill, causing it to deflect into the net.

Rayan looked set to secure the win for Bournemouth. Although Darlow denied one of his chances, he finally scored after Tyler Adams delivered a low cross into the box.

Evanilson had a chance to extend the lead, but Bournemouth felt comfortable without a third goal after it was ruled out upon review.

However, they were caught off guard in the final moments, failing to clear a late corner, which allowed Longstaff to break free into the box and finish powerfully.
