Ryk is a distinguished financial journalist with over 25 years of experience. He is currently the editor of Moneyweb and the host of RSG Geldsake, South Africa’s most popular business radio program.
Prior to joining Moneyweb in 2011, he served as the national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
Ryk is a well-regarded public speaker and facilitator, frequently providing insights on political and economic issues across various local and international media outlets. He specializes in financial investigative journalism and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field throughout his career.
He holds an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both awarded cum laude.
