Ryk is a celebrated financial journalist with over 25 years of experience. Currently, he is the editor of Moneyweb and the host of RSG Geldsake, the most popular business radio show in South Africa.
Prior to his tenure at Moneyweb, which began in 2011, he served as the national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
Ryk is a well-respected public speaker and facilitator and frequently provides insights on political and economic issues in both local and international media. He specializes in financial investigative journalism and has received numerous awards throughout his career.
He holds an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both of which were awarded cum laude.
