Introducing the 5-Year-Old Snooker Sensation Dominating Adults on a Full-Sized Table!

A five-year-old boy, enchanted by snooker, is poised to become the next Ronnie “The Rocket” O’Sullivan, already outshining adults on full-sized tables.

Little Fred Richards began playing at just two years old, and his family is confident in his potential to thrive in the sport.

The young boy first played on a table “the size of a piece of paper” after falling in love with the game while watching it on television.

By age three, he was already beating his grandad, even with a head start.

At three, Fred became a member of Levels Snooker Club in Huddersfield—far younger than most juniors.

By four, he had won his junior division title with over 20 victories in just one year.

He has achieved a highest break of 18 on a full-sized 12ft x 6ft table and has played in hundreds of matches.

Parents Ian, 38, and Kate, 36, were not keen on snooker before Fred’s passion but have now embraced it wholeheartedly.

Ian, a scaffolder, noted: “Fred eats, sleeps, and breathes snooker. It fills his world. Every morning, he jumps out of bed asking, ‘Can I watch snooker?’

“Then he’ll hunt for it on YouTube; his passion is remarkable.”

Ian also remarked that he struggles to keep up with Fred during their games.

He joked: “It’s quite embarrassing being at the club with a five-year-old potting balls effortlessly, but it’s fantastic to share this passion with him.”

Fred is currently receiving coaching from former world top 50 player Ian Williamson.

His mother, Kate, mentioned that many have commented on his talent, predicting he could one day emulate snooker greats like O’Sullivan and Stephen Hendry, both of whom achieved major ranking titles as teenagers.

She said: “A lot of people are telling us we have something special, so it’s our duty to keep it enjoyable for as long as he wants to pursue it.”
