Tyson Fury’s Manager Emphasizes Need for Another Tune-Up Fight, Even as Gypsy King Sets Sights on Anthony Joshua
TYSON FURY’S manager has brought a new perspective to the eagerly awaited clash with Anthony Joshua, revealing that Fury would prefer to have an additional “warm-up” fight prior to facing AJ.
Following his stellar performance against Arslanbek Makhmudov, Fury boldly stated during his post-fight press conference that he would only take on Joshua next.
Fury, 37, issued a challenge to Joshua after the fight, setting the stage for what could be a landmark event in British boxing history.
However, his manager, Spencer Brown, has now revealed that Fury is looking for one more fight before the highly publicized bout with Joshua.
Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has indicated that AJ is also targeting a preliminary fight, which is speculated to take place on July 25, ahead of a potential year-end showdown.

Brown stated: “We’ve signed, we’re just waiting – we’re ready to go.”
“But Tyson has been out of the ring for a significant amount of time before returning, so we’d likely prefer one more fight ahead of the AJ clash – a proper warm-up, and then we’re set.”
He also mentioned that the delay may be due to the other side needing to finalize contracts.
Brown remarked: “We’re just awaiting Anthony’s signature, and for Eddie to sign.”

“We’re all geared up; it’s just a matter of finalizing the details now.”
Current discussions are focused on potential venues and dates, with boxing’s key figure, Turki Al-Sheikh, playing a pivotal role.
Brown clarified: “It ultimately rests with His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh.”
“We’d love Wembley, but it depends on availability, scheduling, and the weather.
“It could happen anywhere – we’ve hosted events in November [Fury vs Chisora 3 in winter] before under tough conditions.”
