Three Police Officers Vanish Under Mysterious Circumstances — SAPS Initiates Comprehensive Search!

The police are requesting the public’s assistance in finding three missing Free State officers who disappeared while en route to their deployment station.

Officers Last Seen Close to Grasmere Toll Plaza

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has initiated an extensive search for three missing police officers — Keamogetswe Buys (30), Boipelo Senoge (20), and Cebekhulu Linda (24).

According to national police spokesperson Brig. Athlende Mathe, the officers were traveling from Bloemfontein to their deployment area in Limpopo when they disappeared on Wednesday, April 23. Their last known location was the Engen garage near the Grasmere toll plaza on the N1.

“Both their vehicle tracking device and cellphones have been offline since the day they went missing,” Mathe stated. The officers were driving a white VW Polo sedan with the registration number JCL 401 FS.

24-Hour Command Centre Established as Search Accelerates

SAPS has set up a 24-hour Venue Operational Centre (VOC) to manage the urgent search efforts. A team of high-ranking detectives and crime intelligence personnel from Gauteng and the Free State has been deployed to assist.

“The officers were off duty at the time and did not reach their deployment area,” Mathe clarified.

Authorities are investigating a possible case of hijacking and kidnapping as they work tirelessly to locate the missing officers.

Officials are appealing to the public for any details that could help in locating the missing officers.

“Anyone who may have information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact the investigating officer, Capt Chaacha Manga, at 082 527-6099,” Mathe urged.

The police remain optimistic that public assistance and ongoing investigations will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
