Bittensor Price Surges Beyond $260, Technical Indicators Point to Further Gains

Bittensor’s price is exhibiting renewed vigor as it surpasses the $260 mark, with enhancing momentum indicators suggesting a possible continuation of the recent recovery trend.

Summary

  • Bittensor’s price is trading around $263, reflecting a 5.7% increase in the last 24 hours, maintaining its position above the crucial $236 support after breaking a prolonged downtrend.
  • Positive momentum builds as the MACD shifts to positive territory, with potential upside targets at $294 and $340 if the bullish trend persists.
  • Fundamentals are gaining strength, supported by Nvidia’s reported $420M investment, ETF applications by Grayscale and Bitwise, and over 70% of the supply locked in staking.

As reported by crypto.news, Bittensor (TAO) was trading at approximately $263.19 on May 1, marking a near 5.7% increase over the past day. The token has been consolidating between roughly $235 and $275 over the past week, stabilizing after a sharp rise earlier in April.

Even with the recent rise, TAO remains significantly below its late 2025 peaks above $500. However, its price structure has shown improvement, characterized by a series of higher lows since mid-February.

Trading volume has increased alongside this recovery, indicating renewed interest among market participants as volatility returns.

Recent positive developments have bolstered sentiment regarding the Bittensor ecosystem.

Reports highlight that Nvidia has staked approximately $420 million worth of TAO, reflecting growing confidence in decentralized AI infrastructure from major industry players.

Institutional interest is escalating as well, with Grayscale and Bitwise both submitting applications for spot TAO exchange-traded funds, with decisions anticipated as early as August. The buildup surrounding these filings has begun to attract early capital flows into the asset.

Real-world adoption is also gaining momentum. Subnet Vidaio has recently announced a collaboration with Pip Studios, a production company engaged in projects with platforms like Netflix and Disney, underscoring the increasing enterprise use cases for Bittensor’s network.

On-chain metrics suggest that supply-side pressure is diminishing, which could enhance upward price movements.

More than 70% of TAO’s total supply is currently locked in staking, significantly limiting the liquid supply available on exchanges. This creates a tighter market where slight increases in demand can lead to a more pronounced impact on price.

The supply constraints have been compounded by the network’s halving event in December 2025, which halved daily emissions. This continued low issuance acts as a structural tailwind for price appreciation.

Derivatives positioning also supports a bullish perspective. The TAO long/short ratio has increased to around 1.4, indicating that a significant majority of traders are anticipating further price increases.

Bittensor Price Analysis

On the daily chart, TAO has successfully broken above the $260 mark and is now trying to hold above the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement level near $236.59, which has now become support.

Momentum indicators are on the rise. The MACD has turned positive, with the histogram displaying green bars, indicating strengthening bullish momentum. Concurrently, the Chaikin Money Flow remains slightly negative at -0.11 but is trending upward, suggesting a slowdown in capital outflows.

Prices are also trading above a descending trendline that has constrained rallies since late 2025, signaling a potential shift in market dynamics.

Should momentum persist, TAO might aim for the next resistance levels at $294 (0.382 Fib) and $340 (0.5 Fib), which previously served as supply zones during the last significant downtrend.

On the downside, initial support lies around $236, with a stronger base at approximately $200. A breach below these levels might postpone the bullish projection.
