Wolves supporters were moved from a section of Molineux due to concerns regarding ‘falling debris’ that posed a safety risk.

During Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland, seats in a corner of the South Bank stand remained empty as a precaution after a fitting dislodged from a speaker above the crowd.

Fans on social media reported a bolt striking a female supporter.

Some speculated it fell from the speaker located in the South Bank roof.

The supporters were moved during the 1-1 draw between Wolves and Sunderland.

One fan shared an image on X showing the empty seats, declaring: “Safety concern due to falling debris from the roof in the South Bank.”

A Wolves representative informed SunSport after the match: “A fitting fell from one of the speakers, prompting the area to be evacuated for safety.”

As Wolves sit at the bottom of the Premier League table and have already been relegated to the Championship, fans voiced their frustration.

One posted on X: “Molineux is falling apart. It feels like the 80s again.”

Another noted: “It’s crumbling to pieces. A fitting metaphor for our club.”

One fan remarked: “That’s deeply embarrassing but sadly not surprising.”

Others criticized the club’s owners, Fosun, expressing concerns over the stadium’s state.
