According to a joint statement from FIA, Formula 1, and the Miami Grand Prix, “Following discussions between FIA, F1, and the Miami promoter, it has been decided to change the start time of today’s Miami Grand Prix to 13:00 local time in Miami due to the weather forecast predicting heavier rainstorms later in the afternoon near the original race start time.
“This decision is aimed at minimizing disruption to the race and maximizing the chance to complete the Grand Prix under optimal conditions while prioritizing the safety of drivers, fans, teams, and staff.”
What time does the F1 Miami Grand Prix start?
The F1 Miami Grand Prix will kick off THREE hours earlier than originally scheduled.
Initially planned to start at 4 PM local time, it will now get underway at 1 PM local time.
For UK viewers, it will commence at 6 PM BST instead of 9 PM BST.
