Fadiel Adams Alleged Police Attempted to Kidnap Him Following Raid on His Former Residence
Fadiel Adams, the head of the National Coloured Congress, alleges that police attempted to kidnap him during a raid at his previous residence in Mitchells Plain early Saturday morning.
Adams stated that officers, thought to be part of a task force investigating political killings, came to the property looking for him.

He claimed the officers wore masks, failed to identify themselves, and parked their cars some distance away from the house, which he had sold approximately two months prior.
Fadiel Adams Raid: Homeowner Files Complaint Following Incident
As per Adams, he was informed about the raid by the new homeowner around 6 AM.
He accompanied her to the Lentegeur Police Station, where she filed complaints of assault and intimidation.
Adams noted that he only learned on Sunday morning that a search warrant had been issued against him.
Accusations Tied to Parliamentary Inquiries
Adams suspects he may have been targeted due to questions he posed during a recent parliamentary committee meeting on police matters.
“I had a few inquiries about the suspension of the national commissioner following criminal charges. I simply wish to understand why General Khumalo is still permitted to act as the head of CI while remaining in the same position,” he stated.

He also criticized the way the raid was executed.
“At one minute past 8:00 this morning, Mkhwanazi sent an email trying to recall it. You can see it; it’s in your pack. He attempts to withdraw the email,” he explained.

@That’s when I saw in his own handwriting that there was a warrant issued for me. I’ve previously communicated to him that if there is a warrant, avoid dramatic approaches. Don’t storm my house with rifles. Do not traumatize or harm my children.
The authorities have yet to provide an official response to Adams’ allegations.
The nature of the warrant and any potential further actions remain uncertain.
