Chippa United has officially parted ways with coach Vusumuzi “Kanu” Vilakazi, effective immediately.

The Chilli Boys reached this decision after suffering a 3-1 defeat against Sekhukhune United during a replayed match at Buffalo City Stadium on Wednesday.

The original game, intended for Tuesday afternoon, was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch, prompting the PSL to reschedule it for the following day. Regrettably for Vilakazi, the delay did little to alter the result, as Sekhukhune’s dominant performance ultimately sealed his fate.

Vilakazi, who took on the role in October, becomes the fifth coach for the Gqeberha-based club this season, following the quick departures of Sinethemba Badela, Musa Nyatama, Morgan Mammila, and Luc Eymael.
