Premier League Clubs Ranked by Matchday Arrests for Class A Drugs – How Does Your Team Compare?

Recent statistics indicate that the largest number of arrests for Class A drugs on match days within Premier League stadiums occurred at the venues of Manchester United and Manchester City.

The concerning league table from the last two seasons also highlights West Ham, Liverpool, and Newcastle as notable offenders.

The Manchester clubs together account for one in five of all Class A drug arrests across the 20 Premier League grounds.

Authorities reported 15 arrests at both the Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford.

Among Premier League venues, one in seven arrests is related to Class A drugs.

A total of 54 arrests were made in the 2022-23 season, compared to 99 in the prior year.

Ipswich was the sole club with no arrests reported.

Data from the Home Office, analyzed by the betting service TipMan Tips, states: “These figures demonstrate that drug possession is a significant issue for all Premier League clubs.”

“They highlight the crucial need for police presence at football matches to prevent drugs from entering stadiums.

“However, there is concern that many individuals might evade detection while trying to bring illegal substances into football venues.”
